An Ode To The Logistics

-Saisha Joshi and Aastha Rijal

From the allocation of countries, to the organization of the delegate dance, the people behind every astounding achievement this RBS MUN are the Logistics Team. Tackling every problem everyone faces as they wade through numerous difficulties themselves, the logistics have proven to be a group of tireless and diligent individuals. The Six core members along with the twenty-four general logistics form the backbone of this year’s RBSMUN.

From months before the conference, the Logistics Committee labored day and night aiming to make MUN 2018 an exceptional experience for both national and international debaters. To begin with, the Committee rounded up various sponsors such as Taalo and Khwappa to secure funding for the conference. They toiled endlessly showering attention on all the details, from minor aspects like the countless baubles and art pieces that dot the school to the managing, seating, banquet and picture sessions for the delegate dance on their own. In fact, the dedication was clear to see amongst the Logistics staff who continued to frantically run around as they spoke fervently into walkie talkies and screamed on top of their lungs to tame us wild delegates. They worked to uphold a smooth and faultless MUN.

The gratitude we hold towards the logistics team is unfathomable. Their efforts have allowed us to enjoy these three days of MU. We appreciate their approachable nature and how they have never been hesitant to help anybody out, even while answering bizarre questions like “Aaja khana paucha?” Hats off to their stamina and dedication! Thank you for taking upon the roles as unswayed guideposts to light the correct path forward these past days. #MUNparyo hamilai.
