Khwappa

Updated: Nov 28, 2018

If, during this year’s edition of RBS MUN, you happen to come across an executive board member flaunting a striking badge embellished with a cartoon version of their heads and can’t resist the urge to get yourself something similar, know that Khwappa is the place to go. Unusual and inventive, the brand caters to everybody’s wants and whims of creativity in today’s world of monotony.

Khwappa produces customized illustrations for businesses as well as individuals, adding spice to otherwise dull appearing products ranging from business cards to stickers and lapel-pin badges to bag accents. Also involved in designing logos for various businesses, Khwappa meticulously recreates any photo sent to them by clients into artwork, initially turning them into vector illustrations before carefully adding strokes of detail to bring the image to life. The finished piece is then printed onto a host of different products, depending on the customers’ needs.

Unconventional in every way, Khwappa acknowledges the influence and importance of social media platforms in today’s tech-savvy world and thus, not only creates some of the most unique products but also promotes them in an atypical manner. The company choses to distribute products within family and friends free of cost in exchange for an endorsement of these products in the form of social media posts— a technique that astonishingly seems to have worked in their greatest favor. Khwappa claims to provide quality artwork at a competitive price, something that they believe is in high demand in today’s market. They consider this the primary reason why more people should turn to them when in need of that little something to make their business identity stand out.

What came as a small idea to the three graduates of Kathmandu college of Management— Saujanya Pradhan, Sonal Shrestha, and Sameep Babu Malla— has taken the form of this ever-growing business that has already managed to amass a strong base of well pleased customers. An amalgamation of creativity and high production value, Khwappa challenges traditional marketing in ways no brand has ever done before.
